Predator: Badlands – Inside TRIXTER’s VFX

16th January, 2026  The visual effects work by Trixter on Predator: Badlands is showcased in the film’s opening sequence on Yatuja Prime, featuring the confrontation between Dek, Kwei, and their father, as well as the animation of the endearing Bud character.

The German studio was responsible for the full opening sequence on Yatuja Prime, crafting both the environment and the action-driven confrontation between Kwei, Dek, and their father, before transitioning into the campfire scene.

Alongside the environments, Trixter animated Bud, giving life and personality to the creature, and developed Dek’s facial animation, ensuring emotional clarity throughout these pivotal scenes.
