Responsibilities
Look Development of photorealistic CG characters, props and sets
Work closely with the Texturing and Lighting Department to efficiently pass assets through the pipeline
Use both template shaders as well as custom shading networks to create the final look of an asset
Ongoing communication with both Leads and Production regarding delivery dates and deadlines
Realising the artistic vision of the VFX Supervisor with possible guidance from the CG Supervisor and Lighting/LookDev Lead
Deliver assets that are creatively and technically excellent
Expert knowledge in shading photo-realistic assets
Minimum of 5 years feature film or equivalent high-res (2K+) experience
Ability to efficiently handle potentially large and complex shading networks
Thorough understanding of physically based shading techniques
Strong knowledge in Katana or a similar package (Houdini Solaris, Gaffer, etc.) and physically based render engines (Arnold, RenderMan or similar)
Texturing and Lighting experience is a plus
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Lua, VEX, etc.) is a plus
Great communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work well within a team
Good English language skills
