Junior Devops Engineer

• Advise and support implementation servers as well as large technical projects;
• Maintain and support network infrastructure (monitoring, benchmarking, etc);
• Installing and supporting 3rd party software packages;
• Setup, maintain and enhance already existing services and well as new ones;
• Design and develop infrastructure monitoring, alerting and reporting tools;
• Develop and maintain configuration and patch management solutions;
• Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with the rest of the team;
• Ensure systems are compliant with all relevant standards and the company internal      security policies (TPN, MPAA guidelines);
• Assist senior resources in building CI/CD pipelines;

 

Essential Skills:
 

• Good verbal communication skills in English. German is a plus;
• Ability to solve problems as they arise and remain calm in a fast-paced and highly pressurized environment;
• Ability to manage conflicting demands and demonstrate flexibility;
• Ability to quickly understand the needs of the business and respond accordingly;
• Ability to quickly understand the output of a Company in order to affect decision-making;
• Technically curios and detail-oriented;

 
Technical skills:
 

• 1+ year experience working in DevOps;
• Knowledge of popular DevOps tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab;
• Substantial Linux system administration experience using Red Hat and/or Fedora, Solaris and BSD type operating systems as well as       Windows and OSX;
• Knowledge of storage and networking concepts and techniques;
• An understanding of technologies such as relational databases, NFS, SAN, File Systems and virtualization;
• A knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell/Bash, Python;
• understand how to use Git;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies and software development best practices;
• Strong documentation skills are required to ensure efficient knowledge transfer and disaster recovery;
