Your tasks

  • Work as a member of the Pipeline Department in close collaboration with the Asset team, specifically Environments
  • Proactively engage in conversations with the environments team about workflow improvements
  • Implement general and show-specific solutions and tools in Clarisse
  • Improve and refactor existing code and tools
  • Optimize the performance of existing Clarisse setups
  • Debug and fix problematic scenes, setups and tools
  • Evaluate and adopt new software and technologies to keep innovating environment workflows


  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to distill artist requirements into concise and clear specifications and tickets
  • Proficiency in a Linux based development environment and bash
  • Advanced knowledge of Python
  • Fluent in the usage of version control systems (preferably git)
  • Solid understanding of the VFX production workflow
  • Experience in optimizing and debugging production scenes and improving their performance
  • Up-to-date with the most recent industry trends and technologies (USD, MaterialX,etc.)
Nice to haves

  • Professional experience of working in a Pipeline/Development team for an established VFX/CG company
  • Experience with distributed scheduling systems (preferably Tractor)
  • Hands-on experience in defining and implementing workflows within Clarisse, Houdini, or Maya.
  • Practical knowledge as a Clarisse and/or Houdini artist; Shot work experience
  • Knowledge of USD and its Python API
  • Knowledge of databases and production management systems (preferably ftrack)
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages: Bash, C/C++, OpenCL
