You’ll join a team that supports hiring initiatives throughout Trixter across several disciplines, sourcing for local and international talent. You will have a chance to work with talented group of creative people and be part of fun working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process job applications: assess, respond and pre-screen.
  • Check availability and daily rate of freelance candidates.
  • Track and update recruitment database with artists names and their availability.
  • Distribute showreels to Recruitment supervisors for review.
  • Keep candidates informed with the status of their application.
  • Job Advertisement on our website, Job Boards Linkedin, Social Media Networks, Forums etc..
  • Source candidates through social media, networking events, industry events, referrals.
  • Help organise and attend Recruitment Events and other VFX conventions.
  • Any other administrative duties assigned by Recruiters.

Requirements

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the design, development and support of our production pipeline

  • Applies principles of computer science, engineering and mathematics to maintain and troubleshoot

    new and existing tools, software and systems

  • Performs code reviews and maintains coding standards.

  • Manage installed software and git source code repositories

  • Mentors and motivates new and existing engineers and Department TDs

  • Maintains documentation workflow.

  • Refactor existing pipeline tools

     

  • Requirements:

  • Excellent 3D math skills (linear algebra, vector math)

  • 5 years’ experience in vfx pipeline programming or in the role of Graphics Engineer

  • Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the VFX pipeline and workflow

  • Excellent working knowledge of Python, Qt, C/C++.

  • Clear working knowledge VFX software Api’s and data-formats (Maya, Nuke, Katana, Arnold, Alembic,

    OpenVDB, etc.)

  • Proficiency in developing under Linux

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills under pressure

TRIXTER is currently looking for a Render Wrangler.

Description:

The After Hours Render Wrangler & IT Support position is a part-time but mission critical role to offer both after hours IT support and assist in the effective use of the computing resources (renderfarm) utilized in rendering computer generated images for our active projects.

To start as soon as possible. Long-term contract.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • –  Monitor, manage and keep the renderfarm running at maximum capacity

  • –  Monitor jobs on the “Pixar Tractor” render manager: identify stalling jobs, follow up

    and report failed jobs to artists/Production.

  • –  Check and re-start failed render tasks.

  • –  Update and maintain Render Manager job priorities according to instructions from

    Production.

  • –  Monitor disk space usage and flag high disk or network usage over-night.

  • –  Restart unreliable blades and report them to the IT as necessary for later diagnosis.

  • –  Provide first level technical support to artists and production team members working

    after

  • –  Provide additional information to, and where required, liaise with the IT team to assist

    in trouble-shooting larger technical issues.

    Required Skills & Experience:

  • –  A focus in Computer Science/Engineering as an undergraduate is a major plus.

  • –  Experience with Linux/UNIX, in particular the shell environment and navigating through

    the file system is a requirement.

  • –  Experience and/or interests in any of thefollowing IT technologies is a benefit: ZFS,

    Layer 2 Networking, esxi, vsphere, pfsense, RHEL, iSCSI, git, rpm, Bacula, NFS, SMB,

    python, Asterisk, Ansible, Graphite, Nagios, Observium, Cacti, Solaris, bash, csh.

TRIXTER is currently looking to hire experienced Compositing TD. To start as soon as possible. Location: Munich, Germany

Responsibilities:

  • Support the compositing department and the rest of the company in their daily use of

    nuke and other compositing relevant tools.

  • Maintain and develop nuke templates, gizmos, plugins and tools.

  • Maintain and develop pipeline tools.

  • Maintain and create documentation of tools and workflows.

  • Create short video tutorials.

  • Help out on shots and stereo elements packaging.

  • Work closely with the department lead to meet the department requirements and

    projects.

    Requirements:

  • Strong Nuke knowledge.

  • Strong knowledge of Python, C++, qt/pyside, opengl.

  • Knowledge of xml, linux, gcc, git, phabricator, ftrack, rv, openfx, gmic, opencv are a plus.

  • Interest in imaging algorithms and 3d graphics.

  • Thorough knowledge of colorspace and image and video file formats.

  • Knowledge of OCIO and OIIO are a plus.

  • Solid knowledge of cg multipass compositing.

  • Basic knowledge of general 2k feature film compositing.

  • Basic knowledge of VFX workflows and pipelines.

  • Structured and clean worker.

Description:

  • Demonstrate a broad range of character animation skills. This includes a deep understanding of the principles of animation, and how to best employ those principles to create performance that supports both the characters and story goals of the show.

  • Demonstrate total mastery of animation skills within a specific genre

  • Consistently delivering shots on a high quality level

  • A deep understanding of character rigging

  • Mentor and lead by example less experienced artists, providing them with support,

    guidance and instruction in areas that provide for their artistic an professional growth.
