Having wrapped up three projects within the last year at TRIXTER as VFX Producer, Maike Timmann will advance to become our new Head of Production. Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to the newest member of the TRIXTER team, Stefan Spendier. Vastly knowledgeable and experienced in the world of motion picture finance, Stefan will serve as our Head of Business Affairs. Congratulations to Maike and Stefan! Onward and upward!

The Raven: We once more had the chance to collaborate with renowned director James McTeigue in his latest feature film project – The Raven. Starring John Cusack, this thriller pictures the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet chases a serial killer who executes the murders portrayed in Poe’s stories.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a hitherto unknown history of famous global events. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were fast friends, enlisting other mutants to help them stop one of the biggest threats, the world has ever known. However, they have a falling out, which leads to the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and the X-Men, led by Professor X.

PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in world torn apart by a conflict between humans and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior who breaks his sacred vows and sets out on a quest to find his niece before a murderous pack of vampires turn her into one of them.

The film was released on May 12, 2011. TRIXTER was responsible for the sterescopic work on more than 90 shots of the movie.   Read More

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (also known as Journey To The Mysterious Island) is an upcoming American 3D action adventure film directed by Brad Peyton and the sequel to the film Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008), based on the novel of the same name by Jules Verne.

Disney's Hexe Lilli 2 - Die Reise nach Mandolan opened in Germany on February 17, 2011.

The world premiere took place in Munich on February 13 with the cast and crew present. A preview of the film was also presented to great acclaim at the children's film festival in Hof (Germany) on February 05 and 06. In this sequel to the very popular Lilly The Witch 1, Lilly and her faithful companion, little dragon Hector, travel to Mandolan where they face breathtaking adventures.
TRIXTER was responsible for more than 300 visual effect shots, as well as the animation of Hector and Suki.   Read More

The annual Berlin Film Lectures 2011 took place on February 16, 2011.

TRIXTER presented new stereoscopic activities at the FFF reception at the Bavarian representation during Berlinale 2010.

We switched to The Foundry's Nuke as our main compositing application.
With 26 seats of Nuke 6.0 & NukeX 6.0, TRIXTER extended its compositing capacities and refined its excellent compositing pipeline even more in its pursuit of high-end, next-generation visual effects productions.   

We completed 90 VFX shots on Chris Columbus' Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief. Our tasks included 3D animation, look development, particle effects and compositing. The movie was released on President's day, February 15th, 2010

After the great success of the first feature film of Lilly The Witch, Lilly and her cute little friend,the dragon Hector, go on a new fantastic journey. This time, they travel to the Kingdom Mandolan, where they face breathtaking adventures. Once again, TRIXTER is responsible for more than 300 visual effect shots, the animation of Hector and an all new animated second character. The sequel will be released in February 2011 in Germany with the branding of Walt Disney Pictures.

   

TRIXTER completed 180 VFX Shots for Ninja Assassin, the martial arts movie directed by James McTeigue and produced by the Wachowski brothers, creators of The Matrix.The Warner Bros. Production features famous Korean popstar Rain in the role of the lethal killer Raizo. Release dates were 25th November 2009 (USA) and 3rd December (Germany).
