However, they have a falling out, which leads to the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and the X-Men, led by Professor X. Read More 3.5.2011 FMX 2011At this year's FMX2011, Michael Coldewey discussed the German impact in the global VFX market with David Cohen (VARIETY), Heiko Burkmeister (PIXOMONDO) and Thomas Zauner (SCANLINE VFX). All three leading German companies have a subsidiary in the US and are working quite extensively for major American studios. Thomas, Heiko and Michael's most important message was an empasis on the fact that there is still an unfavorable situation for German VFX facilities in competing for global service work compared to companies situated in Canada, the UK or Australia. One of the main disadvantages German studios are facing, is the strong Euro and the absence of tax credits. Therefore the only solution is to branch out into the U.S and work closer with the American clients on their home territory.
