Selected candidate will be responsible for developing continual candidate pipelines across multiple skill-sets & initiatives. You’ll join a team that supports hiring initiatives throughout Trixter across several disciplines, sourcing for local and international talent. Recruitment Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment process.

  • Screen and prepare candidate pipelines in a timely and consistent manner.

  • Source candidates through social media, LinkedIn, networking events and industry events.

  • Partner with hiring teams to drive recruiting efforts, increase hiring and process efficiency.

  • Schedule, participate in interviews, obtain feedback etc.

  • Negotiate employment and freelance offers.

  • Build relationships with artists in the industry to increase professional network.

  • Track of artists and their availability.

  • Manage an applicant tracking system and job postings.

  • Ensure artists have a positive experience in the recruitment process.

    Human Resources responsibilities:

  • Present and negotiate offers of employment.

  • Gather employee performance review after each project

  • Issues Reference letters, Letter of employments, confirmations

  • Administers various leave of absence: vacation, sick leave, maternity etc.

  • Holidays tracking & approvals, data base update.

  • New hire welcome and introductions to the team.

  • Obtaining visa & work permit in collaboration with Production Secretary.

    Requirements:

  • 3+ years of recruitment experience in the Animation or VFX feature film industry.

  • Very comfortable working with social media for sourcing, especially LinkedIn

  • Handle confident data with care and absolute discretion.

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.

  • Fluent in English language spoken and in writing.

  • VFX industry and project workflows.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the design, development and support of our production pipeline

  • Applies principles of computer science, engineering and mathematics to maintain and troubleshoot

    new and existing tools, software and systems

  • Performs code reviews and maintains coding standards.

  • Manage installed software and git source code repositories

  • Mentors and motivates new and existing engineers and Department TDs

    Requirements:

  • Excellent 3D math skills (linear algebra, vector math)

  • 5 years’ experience in vfx pipeline programming or in the role of Graphics Engineer

TRIXTER is currently looking for a Render Wrangler.

Description:

The After Hours Render Wrangler & IT Support position is a part-time but mission critical role to offer both after hours IT support and assist in the effective use of the computing resources (renderfarm) utilized in rendering computer generated images for our active projects.

To start as soon as possible. Long-term contract.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • –  Monitor, manage and keep the renderfarm running at maximum capacity

  • –  Monitor jobs on the “Pixar Tractor” render manager: identify stalling jobs, follow up

    and report failed jobs to artists/Production.

  • –  Check and re-start failed render tasks.

  • –  Update and maintain Render Manager job priorities according to instructions from

    Production.

  • –  Monitor disk space usage and flag high disk or network usage over-night.

  • –  Restart unreliable blades and report them to the IT as necessary for later diagnosis.

  • –  Provide first level technical support to artists and production team members working

    after

  • –  Provide additional information to, and where required, liaise with the IT team to assist

    in trouble-shooting larger technical issues.

    Required Skills & Experience:

  • –  A focus in Computer Science/Engineering as an undergraduate is a major plus.

  • –  Experience with Linux/UNIX, in particular the shell environment and navigating through

    the file system is a requirement.

  • –  Experience and/or interests in any of thefollowing IT technologies is a benefit: ZFS,

  • Support the compositing department and the rest of the company in their daily use of

    nuke and other compositing relevant tools.

  • Maintain and develop nuke templates, gizmos, plugins and tools.

  • Maintain and develop pipeline tools.

  • Help out on shots and stereo elements packaging.

    Requirements:

  • Strong Nuke knowledge.

  • Supervision of an animation team at a project level, providing artistic leadership

  • Collaboration with Producers and VFX Supervisors in creating high quality animation

  • Work closely with Modelling and Rigging departments

    Requirements:

  • 5 + years proven experience in a Supervisory role in Animation / VFX film industry
